Capsule wardrobes are amazing. But I also know that it can be a hard transition if you are used to having a closet full of clothes.
So instead of curating a seasonal capsule that you commit to for 3 months, try to ease into this concept with one-week capsules.
Here is how you get started:
Select 10-15 pieces for your one-week capsule
Look at your schedule for the week and plan accordingly
Try to create as many outfits as possible
Do this for your accessories, shoes, and bags too
2. Do this again with a new set of clothes for the second week
You can repeat certain pieces if you want but try to get use out of all your clothes
During the process, figure out what pieces you like and what you don’t like
Make a pile for decluttering
3. Extend your capsule wardrobe for 2 weeks, 3 weeks, or one month with the same amount of clothes. Pair this experiment with a NO-BUY challenge
You will realize how many pieces of clothes you need
You will have a functional wardrobe for your lifestyle
You will have stress-free mornings!
These are the items I chose for my one-week capsule. You do not need these items to curate your capsule wardrobe! I provided the links because I get a lot of questions asking where my pieces are from. I hope it's helpful
